Consignment Process

 

How do I consign my gown?

What types of gowns are accepted?

  • Boutique25 accepts designer or custom-made gowns that are modest, in good or excellent condition, and align with current styles.

 

How is the price for my gown determined?

  • Prices are set by Boutique25 based on style, demand, and market trends. You will be informed of the pricing.

 

How long does my dress stay on consignment?

  • Dresses remain on consignment for 1 year. Unsold items can either be picked up or donated (with your approval).

 

Can I renew my consignment period?

  • Yes, Boutique25 may extend the consignment period for gowns with potential interest.

 

Do I need to clean my gown before consigning?

  • Yes, gowns must be clean and in excellent condition. Boutique25 does not offer cleaning services.

 

Fees and Payments

 

What are the storage fees for consignors?

  • Bridal Gowns: $100 per year.

  • Non-Bridal Gowns (e.g., mother, sister, friend gowns): $50 per year.

  • Fees are automatically deducted annually unless the gown is sold or picked up.

 

When do I get paid?

  • Payments are processed in the first week of the month after a rental or sale.

 

How will I be paid?

  • Payments are issued via the method provided during consignment setup. 

 

What if my gown doesn’t sell or rent?

  • Unsold gowns can be:

    • Picked up by the consignor.

    • Donated with your consent.

 

Rental FAQs

Rental Process

 

How do I rent a gown?

  • Browse online or visit the store to select a gown. Schedule a fitting, sign a rental agreement, and pay the rental fee.

 

What is the standard rental period?

  • Standard Rentals: 4 days (2–3 days before the event, return 1 day after).

  • Bridal Rentals: 1 month (3 weeks before the event, return 1 week after).

 

Can I extend my rental period?

  • Yes, extensions are available for $25 per additional day.

 

What happens if I return my gown late?

  • Late fees of $25 per day are applied.

 

Can I make alterations to a rented gown?

  • Temporary alterations are allowed but must be pre-approved during the fitting.

 

Pricing and Fees

 

What is the security deposit for rentals?

  • A $200 security deposit is required for all rentals. It is refundable if the gown is returned on time and in good condition.

 

How much does a bridal gown rental cost?

  • Bridal gown rentals are $500.

 

What happens if the gown is damaged?

  • Repairs for normal wear and tear are covered by Boutique25. Excessive damage or unrepairable issues will be deducted from the security deposit.
